Erik's Weekly Fitness Tip: Let Your Past Stay There

senior moment

Yesterday’s the past, tomorrow’s the future, but today is a gift. That’s why it’s called the present.

Too often we let our past dictate our present day decisions like taking risks or making positive changes.

Ever heard the phrase "senior moment"? Well, it's time we change the negative connotation associated with that phrase and adopt more senior moments in our lives! There is no time like the present to conveniently forget about past failures, disappointments and missteps. Let your past stay there.

On the other hand, it you are having a hard time letting go of the past, all hope is not lost. You might find comfort in knowing that literally every single person on this planet has experience with coming up short at one time or another. The difference between those who are successful and those who are not, is that those who are successful don't let their pasts paralyze their present day. Instead, they use those personal failures as teaching moments, or fuel for their inner fire.
