The Scale Isn't The Tell All | Ask Erik

Don't judge the progress you've made solely on what the scale says.

Erik recommends looking at other ways to measure your progress and changes you've made:

1. Eating healthier
2. Cutting back on your portions
3. Counting your macros
4. Taking up strength training, jogging, walking, etc.
5. Hanging out with more positive people

Erik's Weekly Fitness Tip | Stand Up For Each Other

Stop The Hate

It’s easy to make fun of people and pick them apart like a hawk with it's prey.  We stand tall and mighty and scoff at others’ exercise routine, form, or look down upon people who are struggling with weight issues.  Why would you do that silly exercise? That’s awful running form. Their weight issues are because they’re lazy. You name it, we have all been guilty of this.

People Who Live In Glass Houses Shouldn't Throw Stones

We forget sometimes that what might work for us doesn’t work for others.  We easily forget our own struggles in life that take on a physical form.

STOP The Hate!

Stop hating.  We stand stronger when we stand together.

Make A Difference

Next time you witness someone trying to make positive and healthy changes in their life or someone who is struggling with weight issues:

  • build them up
  • encourage them
  • be their cheerleader and biggest fan
  • show them some love
  • smile at them
  • tell them to keep it up
  • pick them up off the ground when the going gets tough

There’s no reason to be an A**
